I have received your letter dated December 1 2000, concerning the rejection of my manuscript which was submitted for publication in .... . I understand that the enclosed reviews are highly unfavorable and as an editor you were left with little choice but to reject the manuscript. I believe that the criticism of the reviewers, which are almost hostile towards the ideas I have advocated, are largely undeserved and is plainly based on the misunderstanding of my manuscript. The reviews, although long and detailed, have some factual errors and many of their arguments are irrelevant with my paper, some others are plainly wrong. I do not want to leave these arguments unanswered.
